About Me
Hi my name is Troy Rawsthorn. I've always been car crazed, especially when it comes to classics. I can remember going to watch Disney Pixar "Cars" at the cinema when I was 4yrs old and ever since, I've been playing car games, driving my real cars and photographing everything I can get my hands on at shows. I mainly photograph 60s/70s/80s cars because thats the era that personally intrests me most, but I snap a bit of everything.
At the risk of sounding like an old man, I truly believe that cars have a soul. They have an elegance and a beauty that non-car people just don't understand. Someone told me once that cars cannot be art...I disagree. Some people photograph people or landscapes because of their beauty. So I photograph cars.
I enjoy going to car shows all around the UK and even when I'm on holiday abroad. Sometimes I photograph cars in the most unlikely places...for example a car show carpark can sometimes be a show of its very own.
